John O’Donnell is an award-winning writer who lives and works in Dublin. His work has been published and broadcasted widely in Ireland and abroad.
Being awarded multiple prizes, including:
The Irish National Poetry Prize.
The Hennessy/Sunday Tribune Poetry Award.
The Ireland Funds Prize.
Also most recently the Hennessy Award for Emerging Fiction.
He has published three collections of poetry, Some Other Country, Icarus Sees His Father Fly. and On Water. In May 2020 John published his first book of short stories, Almost the Same Blue’
